This position is Hybrid and eligible for telework up to three (3) days a week, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Under the direction of the Information Technology on Supervisor II, the IT Specialist I in the Department of General Services, Enterprise Technology Solutions in the Enterprise Services Section within the Software Engineering and System Engineering domains acts as a technical resource to develop, configure, maintain, support, and administer business solutions and information management through the ServiceNow platform.
This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment.

Desirable Qualifications
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
- ServiceNow development experience preferably with a lead role
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
- Experience using scripting languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Microsoft (advanced CSS is a plus)
- UI/UX design background
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and SAAS models
- Experience in public sector or government projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
