Job Description

AB Staffing is looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) that is available for the 2024/2025 school year.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess or be eligible for an Occupational Therapist License in the State of Massachusetts.
• 1+ years of relevant experience; experience in a school and/or pediatric setting(s) preferred.
• BLS/CPR Cert. 

Salary:

• $45-$50/hr.
• Total based on 40 hours: $1,800 - $2,000 per week

Job Description:

• Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location - Recruitment Specialists can discuss in detail upon application to connect you to the classroom and best suits your experience and skillset
• Contract through the 2024/2025 school year – 37.5 to 40 hours per week
• Contract follows the academic district calendar

Occupational Therapist (OT) Duties:

• Evaluate patients by observing their movements, performing standardized tests, and listening to their concerns to establish an individualized plan of care.
• Render competent care to patients. Use exercises, stretching, equipment, modalities, and hands-on therapy to manage patients' pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients and motivate them to reach their goals.
• Provide continuity of care by communicating pertinent patient information with the rehab team, physicians, and other disciplines as needed.
• Document all patient care in accordance with department policies.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
