Job Description and Duties

Under general direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the OC Fair & Event Center (OCFEC) Maintenance worker performs a wide variety of maintenance and operations functions necessary to maintain various facilities of the OCFEC. Performs the required janitorial and operational tasks in keeping OCFEC facilities clean and orderly. May lead a crew of Fair workers. 

Maintenance Worker (Building & Ground Facilities) : Perform maintenance tasks such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, asphalt, mechanical and equipment repairs, cement work, small/large engine and equipment repair at the OC Fair & Event Center.

Maintenance Worker (Centennial Farms)

Under general supervision, the Maintenance Worker performs a wide variety of maintenance functions to maintain and operate the facilities of the OC Fair & Event Center (OCFEC). May lead a crew of Fair workers.

Maintenance Worker (Landscape)

Under general direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the OC Fair & Event Center (OCFEC) Maintenance worker performs a wide variety of maintenance and operations functions necessary to maintain various facilities of the OCFEC. Performs the required janitorial and operational tasks in keeping OCFEC facilities clean and orderly. May lead a crew of Fair workers.

Special Requirements

• Ability to work outside the normal business day/week as required by events and programs, including annual OC Fair (mid July-mid August).
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Time off restrictions may be imposed during peak workloads.
