Legal Secretary - Hybrid in San Diego, CA
We are actively recruiting an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary with a minimum of three years of litigation legal secretary experience to become an integral part of a dynamic team in downtown San Diego, CA. The firm provides support in a friendly, team-oriented environment that allows for immediate responsibility and growth potential. Key Responsibilities:
* Scheduling consultations, appointments, depositions, etc.
* Maintaining and updating attorney calendars
* Routine telephone calls with clients, opposing counsel, court clerks, court reporters, etc.
* Opening, stamping, scanning, imaging, uploading, routing, and filing of all incoming and outgoing mail
* Preparing pleadings for court filing (State and Federal) and service
* Electronically file/serve documents
* Preparing exhibit binders and hearing/trial binders for attorneys
* Draft client correspondence
* Perform administrative support functions, such as scanning documents, e-mailing documents to clients, maintain and update electronic and physical files, meeting with clients, prepare and submit check requests and expenditure request forms, scheduling and reserving conference rooms, etc.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation law; California-specific experience is preferred.
* Positive attitude, proactive mindset, flexibility, and a strong team player.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Able to work as a team with attorneys and staff members
Strong sense of discretion
Professional appearance and professional communication with clients and co-workers
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Strong working knowledge of Forms Work Flow, CompuLaw, and iManage
Proficient in Microsoft Word
