DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating public health services and initiatives, as well as providing direct public health services and community liaison activities. You will oversee community health programs by utilizing public health information systems, including data entry and disease surveillance, to enhance the health outcomes of assigned programs and populations. In this role, you will design and deliver health education initiatives on various public health topics to inform and engage the community, while also offering outreach and case management services to individuals and targeted groups to promote their health and safety. Additionally, you will collaborate with community and health organizations, such as healthcare providers and laboratories, to implement measures for disease prevention and control, aiming to curb the spread of illnesses for the Southcentral District. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work infrequently requires statewide travel and irregular work hours including overnights, weekends, and holidays in accordance with policy. The headquarters location will be determined by the selected applicant. Worksite options are available throughout the Southcentral District, which includes Adams, Bedford, Blair, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Juniata, Lebanon, Mifflin, Perry, and York counties. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to a headquarters office within the Southcentral District. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Special Requirements: This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania. All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
