This is a full-time position (not temp). We are seeking a
2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor will supervise and c oordinate warehouse team to achieve the department goals while keeps a strong focus on our commitment to employee safety, product safety, quality, and overall costs. The Warehouse Supervisor I will play a key role in driving continuous improvement, performance, and inventory accuracy.
What You'll Do: - E nsure the safety and legality of food.
- Coordinates backhauls from offsite storage locations of raw materials and finished goods and assure that dedicated trucks are maximizing backhaul opportunities.
- Expands the utilization of equipment by working with the shuttle truck drivers and off-site storage personnel.
- Act as a liaison between production, packout and transportation to ensure product is available for shipment.
- Assure all finished goods, packaging and raw materials are rotated.
- Attends and participates in regularly scheduled and impromptu meetings.
- Maintain warehouse standards including but not limited to QA/FS, SQF, OSHA, Sanitation, FDA, and USDA.
- In the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Leads and or Warehouse Manager will be responsible for his/her job functions and responsibilities or distributing those duties as seen fit.
- Responsible for not only functioning as a supervisor, but also must be able to perform the duties of each Crew position in the Facility.
- Responsible for coaching, developing, and training associates in warehouse operations, including technical knowledge of systems, equipment, SOPs, and forklift driving certifications.
- Responsible for all cross training that is needed to each Crew position in the Facility.
- Responsible for ensuring food safety, food defense, Warehouse SOPs, SQF compliance and compliance with federal, state, local, & other appropriate regulatory laws or guidelines by training hourly associates.
- Must be able to work additional hours or beyond standard schedule with little or no notice.
- Assist Marketing and Customer Service with any warehouse needed items to fulfill their requirements.
- Oversee inventory of finished goods and raw materials and report any foreseen issues to Purchasing and Inventory management.
- Determine the location of TFT pick-ups depending on inventory levels and communicate with transportation.
- Work with outside vendors on the needs or repairs of warehouse equipment.
- Ordering of all warehouse supplies through purchasing. Pallets, temp tales, pallet tags etc.
- Safely and properly load/unload truck with finished goods, raw materials and packaging.
- Accurately records all moves/transaction to ensure our information systems accurately reflects what we have and where it is located.
- Communicates discrepancies and errors immediately.
- Ensure all safety procedures are followed when entering a truck to load or unload it and while operating a forklift.

- A ssists Warehouse Manager with hiring and training of new employees.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Supervise warehouse associates and company CDL drivers ensuring policies and procedures are followed and issue disciplinary actions as warranted and in accordance with company policy.
- Oversees daily workflow of the departments area of responsibility; Schedules associates to ensure proper staffing and approves associate time off.
- Hires and trains new employees within their area of responsibility.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
What We Need from You: - Associates Degree in business or equivalent is preferred.
- APICS/ASCM or Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred.
- 1 3 years of leadership experience preferred. Experience in a manufacturing environment, inventory control and/or warehouse management is preferred.
- Forklift Operator License
- Proficient in MS Office, intermediate excel skills preferred. Ability to work from multiple tabs/windows across various programs.
- Ability to gather data, analyze/interpret information, prepare reports.
- Ability to research, identify, and present solutions to improve warehouse operations.
- Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
- Must be able to work with little to no guidance.
- Must be able to maintain inventory requirements for multiple locations.
- Some driving required from plant to plant, 3PL, and trailer storage locations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; good writing/reading/math skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills; ability to anticipate, solve problems and meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with data entry and ERP/MRP systems or equivalent.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
- Able to stand for at least 8-12 hours
- Be able to lift, carry, handle, and grasp 35-50 pounds.
- Must be willing to work under various temperatures ranging from typical 45 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high and will include, but not be limited to, production machinery, computers, printers, telephones, and normal communication. Hearing protection will be required for all in plant activities.
